Profile Updates Log
The
following is a change log for updates made to the Chicago Health &
Health Systems Project's Community Health and Hospital Profiles:

and listings of Health Care Resources have been amended to
reflect the addition of new sites and closing of others. The
Health Care Resources section have been updated to reflect
the inclusion of new data and facility changes (e.g., changes
in facility name, type, or ownership).

U.S. Census statistics have been expanded to include:

Age
- Number
and percent of persons Foreign-Born
- Number
and percent of persons for whom a Non-English Language is
Spoken at Home
- Number
of persons (in addition to percentages) living Below Poverty
Level and Twice Below Poverty

Community
Composite Health Behavior Risk Scores, a measure that combines
results from Chicago Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance Survey
(BRFSS) data and Chicago Census 2000 data have been added
for nine (9) variables. The methodology for the development
of the risk scores has been added to the Technical Notes.

Percentages
have been added to the Leading Cause of Death section.

Hospitalization
data have been age-adjusted.

Newborns
have been excluded from all causes of hospitalization.
